Our History

It started with a dream.. ..the vision of a hospital that will provide excellent and compassionate care to patients in a friendly, loving atmosphere of doctors and nurses and other healthcare givers, amidst a clean, green and beautiful environment. And now, we are almost there...

Almost three years ago, several doctors sat together and started brainstorming, with the idea of putting up a 100 bed hospital that would serve the needs of Tarlaquenos and the rest of Central Luzon.

In Tarlac City, there are five private and one government hospital with an aggregate capacity of 840 beds for a population of more than 300,000. The population of the entire province is 1, 273,240. The data show that at present the bed population ratio is 1:4,274. The ideal bed population ratio is 1:1000. Everyday there is an average of 20 patients waiting to be admitted in each of the hospitals in the city. The occupancy rate of all the hospitals reach up to 100% most of the time and it is a fact that all the hospitals in Tarlac city are in a expansion mode. There is an obvious need for a new hospital.

The answer is The Tarlac Doctors Medical Centre Inc. TDMCI is a duly registered corporation at the Securities and Exchange Commission. It is in the midst of constructing a 100-bed capacity hospital that will be known simply as Tarlac Medical Centre - with a tagline of - "We Value Life."

The Tarlac Medical Centre is committed to provide excellence in patient care that is coupled with compassion and loving service. We will work hard to develop a culture ofexcellence in all aspects of hospital care. We want our patients to experience a pleasant stay amidst lush greenery and objects of arts (paintings, sculpture etc.) around the hospital. In such an ambiance, healing will be better served.

TDMC acquired a 4.3 hectare property located at Barangay San Vicente, 500 meters away from Mc Arthur Highway, about 600 meters from SM Tarlac and 300 meters away from the new by- pass road. It is bounded by three residential subdivisions - San Sebastian Village, Fairlane and St. Micheal . Two main roads lead to the hospital and a third one, coming from the by-pass road will be built soon.

Palafox and Associates did the Master Plan for the 2.7 hectare part of the property and designed the hospital and medical arts building. Architect Felino Palafox is a widely respected Urban planner and is known for his environment friendly green buildings.

The Tarlac Medical Centre when completed will seat majestically in a 5,000 square meter portion of the property where there will be ample parking and wide open spaces. It will be a hospital that anyone can be proud of. Construction started on June 22, 2017 and is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2019.

The hospital plans to offer complete services that will include modern laboratory facilities, X Ray and CT Scan, a cancer centre, geriatric centre, hospice, among others. In the near future, we envision residential houses and retirement homes will come to life. We had a dream and now, it is coming true. Come dream with us.
