Tarlac Medical Center

RENAL CARE CENTER

The Renal Care Center has eight (8) machines; including seven (7) dedicated machines for hemodialysis and one (1) for hemodiafiltration.  We are on the process of further expanding to be able to serve more renal patients undergoing HEMODIALYSIS, HEMODIAFILTRATION and HEMOPERFUSION.

Services Offered:

  1. Hemodialysis
    • a procedure where a dialysis machine and a special filter (dialyzer) are used to clean one’s blood.  This treatment filters out toxins from the patient’s blood.
  2. Hemodiafiltration
    • A form of renal replacement therapy in which ultrapure replacement fluid is reinfused to keep volume in balance.  This removes more middle-molecular-weight solutes.
  3. Hemoperfusion
    • This procedure also removes toxins from the blood, in which the blood perfused a filter composed of artificial cells filled with activated carbon that traps molecules (toxins) thereby filtering the blood without destroying its components.
  4. Laboratory Examination Packages
    • Contains standard tests (Complete Blood Count, Blood Chemistry, Hepatitis Screening) to ensure that individualized care is met.
  5. Patient Health and Nutrition Education
    • The highly competent team of doctors, hemodialysis nurses and dietitians dedicate their time to promote health by providing health teachings that is well-suited to the patient’s needs.

We also have the following features:

  • Purification of water thru double pass reverse osmosis
  • Sterilization and strict regular disinfection of the machine, equipment, instruments and the unit
  • Monthly and quarterly water analysis is done by a Department of Health accredited laboratory
  • A comfortable lobby/waiting area
  • Hepafilters to ensure that the circulating air is purified
  • A fully equipped unit to address emergency situations
